Hideaway Villa (2 bedrooms)

This charming tropical-style two bedroom villa is the perfect romantic getaway,  with its own swimming pool and a walled garden that gives you a feeling of heavenly bliss. It is less a 10 minute drive south of Lamai and located near to Butterfly Garden in the southern part of Koh Samui.

Located away from busy roads, the villa is only 150 mtrs to a secluded beach, and just short walk to the excellent local restaurants. 

This stylish villa is situated in an area that still holds onto its attractive local charm, and remains largely unaffected by the over-development and high level of traffic which blights the north of the island. 

Driving times are 10 minutes to Lamai and 25 minutes to Chaweng.

Inside the Villa

The Villa has 2 double bedrooms which offer king size beds, and provide their own separate shower rooms. There is also a separate bathroom with a terrazzo bath tub, fitted kitchen and dining area, complete with an open tropical-style living room. 

The living room area is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and beautiful Lotus pond stocked with baby turtles, catfish, carp and other colourful fish.  The villa has beautiful tropical hardwood floors to the open air living room, and main bedroom, whilst the remaining floors have the classic look of terrazzo.  

In the living room, True Visions satellite TV shows all live premiership football on a 42 inch plasma screen TV, home theatre entertainment and free wifi.  

There is air-conditioning and fans in the bedrooms and solar panels provide the hot water.

Location

Hideaway Villa is located less than 10 minute drive south of Lamai which is one of the most attractive seaside towns on the island and arguably boasts the finest beach on Koh Samui.  Nearby to the villa many of the island's main attractions are less than 10 minute drive away, which include The Butterfly Garden, The Waterfalls, The Aquarium, The Elephant Trekking, The Grandmother Grandfather Rocks, amongst many others.

The local beach Laem Sett is only 150 mtrs from the villa; it has a lovely beach and is ideal for children as the ocean is shallow in this area. Here one can enjoy and admire a beautiful sunset, and see the occasional local fishermen come into shore.

There are many fine restaurants serving Thai and Western dishes close to the villa, some within walking distance, dozens of others within 5-10 mins drive.

General

The southern part of the island where the villa is located remains pretty much unspoiled, especially compared to the north.  It still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui once boasted years ago. The beaches in the south remain pretty much undeveloped, due mainly to the shallow coastline. If you like to explore you can still find areas where you have the beach to yourself, and never too far away will be a rustic Thai restaurant where you can enjoy true authentic local dishes.

Within 5-10 minutes walk from the Villa you have over half a dozen restaurants serving Thai and western food, 3 mini-marts for your daily needs, several laundry shops, 2 massage shops to help ease that aching body. Also a couple of small bars to quench that thirst with an ice cold beer or two.  For entertainment you have the tiger zoo, aquarium and butterfly garden. Slightly further a field watch the locals with the monkeys that collect the coconuts from the trees you will be amazed.
 
Also close by is Centara Villas Resort and Samui Orchid which opens its doors to non residents and have many facilities to enjoy, including numerous restaurants and bars go on spoil yourself.
 
5 minutes away by motorbike or car you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market, also the home of Baan Hua Thanon seafood restaurant a well recommended eatery with a fantastic menu, a bit slow but well worth the wait.
 
The seaside town of Lamai the second largest on the island and far superior in every way to the polluted Chaweng is just 10 minutes away by motorbike or car where you can party until dawn, fine dine in one of the many beach side restaurants, shop until you drop or just relax in one of the many watering holes Lamai has to offer and watch the world go by.
 
Just remember nowhere on the island is more than 35 minutes away, private car hire with a driver, taxis, motor bike taxis and the local public transport which run around the ring road called songtaos or simply hire a motorbike or car.
